Episode 75: Kambo, self-love and the collateral beauty of grief – with Laura Bam Bam

This episode is filled with wonderful advice on processing grief, a deep dive into the healing power of Kambo, healing techniques you can practice at home, and profound insights that will blow your socks off.

Topics explored include:

- The health and well-being benefits of Kambo
- Processing grief at a younger age
- How losing a parent can expand your self-love
- The transition from working as a children's social worker to becoming a self-love coach
- The financial abundance that comes from trusting your soul’s purpose

Laura Bam Bam is a Kambo practitioner, yoga and laughter yoga teacher, and self-love coach in training as part of my Infinite Self Love Coaching Academy.

Laura spent over ten years on her own self-love journey and is ready to share what helped her with the world. She talks about the grief of losing her mother with deep empathy and love.

“After losing my mum, I had no option but to provide myself with the love that no longer existed in my physical world. My biggest trauma was my biggest teacher. It gave me the strength and determination to help others on their journey.”

Healing Techniques

Rage Ritual
- Sit on your bed in child’s pose surrounded by soft pillows.
- With your palms clenched, bash the pillows with your forearms.
- Safety is key. You don't want to injure your body in any way.
- Scream into the pillows or into cupped hands.
- Make sure the scream comes from the belly, not your throat, to protect your throat from damage.

Grief Ritual
- Put your arms above your head, open your chest, open your heart, and make a sound that feels in resonance with your heart.
- Usually, when we're sad, we fold over and the heart is closed. This is the opposite. Opening the heart will release stuck energy.
- Close the ritual with breath and movement by shaking to release energy.

Letter Ritual
- Write a letter to the person you are grieving. Tell them everything feel guilty about and everything you feel sorry for.
- When you’re finished, write yourself a letter from the person you have lost. Write what they would say in reply to your letter.
